A funny and punny quick read
4 out of 5
I listened to the audiobook on this one, it was narrated by numerous narrators (giving each character a voice). The production was good and the audio quality was also good.
The book was a super quick read (or listen). It only took about an hour to finish. It starts out as a total rip-off of “The Social Network” I mean almost line for line — scene for scene, but I then read that it was meant to be a satire — so I understood why the rip-off.
The story follows a programmer who creates an online dating site for zombies, and a few of its users (and their friends). Even zombies want to find love! There is some really funny banter within the different groups and it weaved quickly between the different characters to form a fun, funny and unique piece of fiction
If you’re looking for a super quick read that involves zombies and scenes from the social network — this book is for you.
I was given a copy of this audiobook in exchange for my honest review.
ZDate: A Zombie Romance, by Charley Allen. An evil computer genius launches a dating site “for zombies only.” Follow twenty-something zombies Amy, Greg, Stef, and Zed in this “deliciously funny” tale of all-consuming love.
