Action and Adventure – Dane and Bones At It Again

5 out of 5 stars

Dane and Maddock do it again – this time they take on an unlikely foe.  With an addition of a journalist and an eccentric cryptozoologist, they set off to find out the origins of some of the oldest mysteries.

Pretty much any time I see a new book out by David Wood I want to jump on it right away – he has this way of writing these unbelievable stories but making them still seem realistic and enjoyable all at the same time.  The characters of Dane and Bones are two of my favorites.  They work so well together and make each book different in some way.  All of the stories I’ve read in this series have been enjoyable high-action adventure books with a lot of history thrown in.  There are a lot of mysteries out there to solve and I hope that Wood continues to dive into them.

The main premise of dragging Dane and Bones out was to find the lost treasure related to a sunk German U-Boat in the Irish Sea – what they find while looking for it spins them into another crazy monster hunt.  It’s pretty obvious by the title of the book and even the image what they think they’ve found – but I won’t ruin it here.

If you’re thinking about picking up Loch – just know that you’re in for an enjoyable, action-packed adventure book with a great cast of characters that will leave no rock unturned to find what they set off for. Loch is yet another winner from Wood and one that I won’t forget for time to come.
