An amusing and needed story

4 out of 5 stars

I saw the cover of this book when I was up later than I should have been reading through comments on Twitter.  Ironically, it was basically surrounded by political arguments (thankfully, this twitter account is mostly book readers, reviewers, bloggers, and authors).  I saw the cover and had to read it.

I just sat down today to read this after trying hard to ignore my Facebook and personal Twitter feeds because there are so many people arguing over what is going on with President…. you know who.  It has made for some of the most heated and political arguments I’ve seen and heard ever in my lifetime.

This book is perfect and might even be a reminder to some of these people on why they are friends and what they are actually arguing about.

These Are My Friends On Politics is laugh out loud funny.  The illustrations are gorgeous and really make this book in my opinion.  Those and the footnotes that O’Keefe adds to most of the pages.

If you are looking for an escape — even briefly from your Facebook or Twitter arguments, I mean feeds, check this book out.  I think you’ll smile and laugh along as you think about different people in your life.
