Top Ten Tuesday: Eleven Books In My Fall TBR Pile

Fall is my favorite time of year.  The changing of the leaves, the drop in temperature, and a boatload of new books to read. Here are 11 books that are on my Fall TBR pile.

Cockblock by C.V. Hunt – re-reading this one – I need to check out the audio
Man of War by Sean Parnell – honestly checking this out because the reviews are awesome and it’s narrated by R.C. Bray.
Daughters of the Forgotten Light by Sean Grigsby– I had this as an ARC but just couldn’t start/finish it in time.  I’m going to check the audio out.  Grigsby’s last book was one of my favorites and definitely stood out in my mind.

Zombie Island by Javan Bonds – the first book in this series had me in stitches. I can’t wait to see how funny the second book is.
The Distance by Jeremy & Hilaree Robinson  – this guy has sat on my TBR list hoping that it was going to be turned into an audiobook. It has and now I will give it a thorough listen.
Opus Adventure
by Boyd Craven  – this series has been absolutely perfect.  Opus is a character you cannot forget.

I’m a fan of memoirs – so these next 5 might throw some people for a loop

Handcrafted by Clint Harp – Fixer Upper alum Clint was one of my favorite people that they worked with. I’m definitely intrigued by this one.
Make Something Good Today
by Erin & Ben Napier – My Fixer Upper replacement.  I’ve enjoyed their show, their chemistry, and his beard.
My Squirrel Days by Ellie Kemper – Ellie first came onto my radar on The Office – but then I started binge-watching Kimmy… and I definitely have to hear her backstory.
The Greatest Love Story Ever Told by Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally – Does this one really need an explanation?
Whiskey in a Teacup by Reese Witherspoon – Reese has been one of my favorite actresses of all time. This short but sweet story has peaked my interest.

I’ve loved reading since I was little when my dad would read me Dr. Suess books. Fast-forward a little and I noticed that he was always reading on his lunch breaks at work, and I wondered why. Then, I found a book that took me to another place and time, to another feeling, another sense of “being”.It was the first book that I ever fell in love with, and I’ve been chasing that feeling ever since.

  1. I read these lists and I start to panic. There are so many books out there that I haven’t even heard of and now I want to look into them. But my TBR is already over 100 books long. If I just read them it would take me over a year to finish the list without adding new titles (which I do all the time.) Eek! My Fall TBR list
