A dog – man’s best friend and longtime companion. It makes sense that we would still try and keep that bond sacred – even when the SHTF. These are some books I’ve read (and a couple I haven’t) featuring a dog on the cover (and in the story)
You’ll notice some repeat authors here including Nicholas Sansbury Smith and Boyd Craven. Trackers has a dog on every cover (or almost so). One Man’s Opus has a sequel (that was also great). I just tried to post at least one book from each series even though they all featured a dog.

The 10th one actually does NOT feature a dog on the cover – but DOES feature a dog in a lot of the story.

Now that you’ve read mine – you need to go check out the Birds and the Bots edition at Sci-Fi & Scary. Find it here.

My favorite cover here is probably the Days of Destruction one.
I do love Miles in Hell Divers 3 though!
Omg, I was so scared for Miles.
They better not kill those doggies!!
Ever since I watched I Am Legend I’ve been afraid there will be a scene similar to that. I haven’t come across it yet (with a doggie at least)
Dogs! Definitely the best kind of cover 🙂
I haven’t read any of the books you have listed. I do like your take on TTT with featuring dogs. I just hope all the dogs don’t get hurt in these books… that would be awful. Have a wonderful day.
