So Damn Good
5 out of 5 stars
Some books just get you — this one got me good. On the Same Page by Haley Cass is the kind of friends-to-lovers romance that doesn’t just flirt with your emotions, it moves in, redecorates, and leaves a note that says “yeah, we’re doing this now.”
Riley and Gianna’s ten-year friendship is the cozy, chaotic kind that makes you feel like you’ve been eavesdropping on soulmates for a decade. Their history is deep, their affection is so easy and natural, and their shift into something more — thanks to a hilariously awkward holiday gift mix-up — is honestly one of the most endearing transitions I’ve ever read. It’s not angsty or overdone. No dragging out the “what if we ruin our friendship” bit. Just an authentic, heartwarming evolution into love.
Gianna’s character arc is perfect, just a chef’s kiss. From an untouchable influencer with ice-queen vibes to someone real, vulnerable, and fiercely loyal. And Riley’s slow-burn bi awakening? Tender, charming, and so relatable. There’s intimacy here in every glance, every inside joke, every back-and-forth that feels lived-in and honest.
Lori Prince brings this audiobook to life with unmatched precision. Her Gianna voice transforms over time — literally — and Riley’s voice is full of warmth, hesitation, and that quiet emotional thunder. The performance elevates every moment.
No complaints. None. Zero. Nada. It’s over 16 hours long and I still wanted more. Easily one of the best romances I’ve ever read. Full stop.
Book Description:

Riley Beckett met Gianna Mäkinen-drop-dead gorgeous influencer, trilingual, daughter of world-famous models, yes, that Gianna Mäkinen-their first year at Boston University, and it changed everything for the both of them. After all, when you find the person who just gets you, nothing feels quite “the same” right?
And in the ten years since, Riley has come to depend on Gianna more than anyone else in her life. She knows Gianna just as well as she knows herself-maybe better, some days. She knows Gianna is incredibly sex-positive, she knows Gianna doesn’t do romance or relationships, and she knows nothing could ever come between them.
This is what makes sense to her, all of this is status-quo. But when a holiday party mix-up sets in motion a domino effect of changes to these previously inalienable truths, Riley has to question everything she thought she knew about their relationship. What, exactly, does Gianna mean to her after all?
