Hi, I’m Brian — audiobook addict, serial reviewer, and someone who thinks “just one more chapter” counts as a personality trait. I listen to 100+ audiobooks a year across everything from end-of-the-world thrillers to swoony sapphic romances, with plenty of sci-fi, technothrillers, and rom-coms in between.

Over the years, my reviews have ended up on book covers, inside books, and in promo campaigns. I’ve worked with publishers big and small — including Tantor, Blackstone, Dreamscape, and Penguin Random House — but this is still a passion project at heart.

If it’s an audiobook in one of my favorite genres, there’s a good chance it’ll end up in my ears… and on my blog.

  1. Hey, Brian.

To young ears, Seuss is the master of poetic rhythm. He made me fall in love with words, too. Though I am curious what that “first book” was that you mentioned above. There’s a story there. I’m sure.

    All the best,

  2. I love post-apocalyptic stories too. For me they’re the perfect combination of optimism and pessimism: yep, we’re gonna end the world, but maybe we’ll do better next time. My favorite end-of-the-world novel will always be A Canticle for Leibowitz, because it shows exactly how humans do (but mostly don’t) learn from their mistakes. As you can tell, I could talk about this stuff all day. 😀 Happy to have found your blog!

  3. Hi Brian!
Thanks so much for your wonderful review of our (Mike Vendetti, Steven Jay Cohen, & Kathy Verduin) narration of The Great Gatsby! We appreciate it very much!

  4. Hi Brian,
Over the years I have seen people
Post your reviews and I just wanted to drop a note of thanks for the work you do here. Not everyone knows how to do a review and you really give a lovely synopsis and flavor of each book.
    Thank you!
